Dancing Girls

Candy went to a Military Ball with a friend of hers from college last night. The reason she was able to go to a military ball was that she tried out for the Color Guard at BYU-Idaho and made it. The color guard are those individuals (normally in the military or ROTC) who present the flag before sporting or other events. She found out that it was ok for her to try out as well and she made it on the "Blue" team. Apparently there is a "Red" team also. Blue being the higher team. Anyway, they were going to have a dinner and dance activity and invited her to go as well. She got some good use out of that Jr. Miss formal anyway and had a very good time!

Mayli has been taking clogging for the second year now and was able to participate in a clogging competition in Pocatello yesterday. She got a 1st place award for an all around solo and a 1st place award for a group dance their group did. I did not take any pictures of her during the program, however, I did take some pictures of her after the event (outside). The building it was held in is a new huge building. Apparently this next weekend David Archuleta will be singing there and the seats are sold out! Would be fun!

What cute dancing girls! And I'd be sad about not being able to go to the D.A. concert, too!

Candy looks great! It's always good news when you can use a formal more than once...and still fit in it!

And way to go Mayli! Have her bring her music this weekend. We'd all love to see her clogging solo! Perhaps I could even do a duet with her and shake this baby out!

Hope you had a good trip to California!
