Memorial Day Unfortunately was our LABORing Day!

We have many areas in our yard that are much in need of clean-up and remodeling. We selected one spot in our yard to begin on - 1st a trench needed to be dug and we put in two new hydrants - one near the shed in the back and one on the north west corner of my yard.
This job involved our whole family - thank heavens Justin had taken a construction class!  We began putting the trusses up and it was starting to look like everything was "not going to fit" and after we decided to let Justin tell us what he had learned we were able to get somewhere! (This is our first attempt and this side is for the pigs)

This side was our second little building and it will be for the lambs (when we get them).

We enclosed both in their own little pen...

Mayli had to clean the feeder out - and she complained the whole time - apparently she got old and moldy pig grain in her mouth and she was quite out of sorts about it all.   Shelby, meanwhile, was chasing a pig that got out of the other "temporary" pen we built to hold them in until we got this job completed.

Now the pigs have the feeder with grain in it and they can eat food when they want to and don't have to wait for the girls to bring it to them... HAPPY PIGS!
