California Here We Come!!!

Posted by Picasa

We took pictures of our trip to California to take cows to pasture. Mark and his cousin Kenneth drove the truck and Shelby, Mayli and I were passengers in the sleeper. The girls' job was to help keep the drivers awake so they could keep driving. That in itself was a difficult job. The ability to sleep in a truck while it is moving is quite difficult, I found. Hard to sleep when your bed is moving. The temperature in the cab was also about 90 degrees all the time and was difficult to regulate so you could be comfortable. On the way to California we spent alot of time awake just showing the girls different things along the way . . . the lights in Las Vegas - the Joshua trees and when we finally got to California then we would hear the dreaded phrases "are we there yet" or "how much longer". Our trip each way took around 15-17 hours depending on how many times we stopped.
