Mom started this tradition years ago of putting together and decorating gingerbread houses with her Grandchildren. She has continued this - even though the numbers of grandchildren is growing! Up to 8 now! Today she brought houses to Terreton and did them with Shelby, Mayli and Candy. She even took one to Justin at college to do with his roommates or friends. . .

That is a great tradition! We are talking about starting a tradition of doing gingerbread houses on Christmas eve. But I want to do a rice crispy house?? We will see. Cute pics!
Those are so cute! We 'tried' make a gingerbread house last night...didn't go so well. We need lessons from Aunt Mary Ann!
<:D
Loralee and Melissa.....Your Aunt Mary Ann USED to bake the gingerbread, cut them out and assemble them....that was 7 grandchildren ago. Now I buy the pre-made and pre-assembled ones. We can continue the tradition without Grandma Hoffman losing her cool :0)
Your kids' gingerbread houses look nice! Ours required a lot of Grandma assistance so that some of the candy would actually make it onto the houses rather than into the bellies. That's what makes it fun though! I'm glad our kids have such a fun granny who wants to make lasting memories!
